"WallKeeper", my Movie Maker Video



One of my creative pleasures is to weave  baskets from branches and thread of nylon bag. I first make the thread;' cut nylon bag to form rings that are weaven together to make a endless thread as long as I need.  

The name  "WallKeeper" comes from their organic shape that forms a magical space on the wall, like a natural niche on the wall. Niches in nature and in history have always been a place to keep things.

...I decided to try to capture the process it in video.  . .

Eucalyptus Tree Bark

We had a great morning walk in Park Hayarkon, the central park of Tel Aviv.
The path along the river with the eucalyptus trees is wonderful.


Seeing that all the fresh bark around the trees as we were walking I decided to gather some bark for a future art project.

I not sure what we will do with it, but I love the texture, so....

 ...do you have a suggestions ?

Contrast in Nature

Walking by this tree today, I wondered at the contrasting shapes in nature.

To protect the fruit of the tree, the treet growes hundreds of torns some the size of 3 inches.

In contrast to the fruit, which starts as a green oval shape the size of a pear, 

Then when opening  there is a floppy white cotton looking ball inside.

That  expands to to form  a shape around 3 times the size of the fruit in awonderful  and perfect pompom ball shape, ( as in  photo above).

The cotton shape slowly loses its shape, break apart and falls to the ground.

Later on the fruit will bloom  to form  beautiful white flower. 

Long ago, a Native American grandfather told his grandson, "There are two wolves fighting inside all of us constantly--the wolf of fear and hate, and the wolf of love and peace." The grandson looked up at his grandfather and asked, "Which one will win?" The grandfather replied, "The one we feed."

I love the combination; the light on the tree roots and on the animal's fur, they forms a great composition.

On our family trip to the Safri this summer.

Visit to the Beach 7AM

Today we went to the beach at 6:30. My daughter wanted to run on the beach early before it gets too hot. She ran and I walked with our dog and took photos.
